I have been practicing as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in the Seattle area since graduating from Yale University in 2012. I have worked in community mental health for the entirety of my career, including at local organizations such as DESC, Neighborcare and most recently, Community House. At these jobs I have provided guidance to primary care providers, treated individuals in psychiatric crisis and served as a preceptor to students, and lead provider to new graduates. In addition to nursing, I have a background in forensic psychology and spent five years working at the King County jail. I currently provide jail diversion services part time for King County and work with some of the most underserved and vulnerable people in our community.
I began my private practice in 2020 out of a desire to have more control over the time I spend with patients and to offer psychedelic therapy in the form of ketamine. My interest in mood disorders, and specifically treatment resistant depression, also fueled this desire to work in a more independent setting. I am not currently accepting new patients for ketamine therapy but may be able to offer this again in the future.
If we decide to work together, my primary goal will be establishing a therapeutic relationship with you that is built on trust and transparency. I consider myself to be a direct person and make it clear what my impressions are at our first meeting and the ways in which I believe I can help. While medication management is my primary focus, I am also available for psychiatric evaluations to determine what (if any), diagnosis you may have, and what interventions may be helpful, medication or otherwise. I see patients on Tuesdays with some Monday availability.
In my free time I enjoy puttering around in my yard, cuddling with my cat, and most importantly, spending time with my partner and two young children. I’m always on the look-out for book recommendations, and lean towards all things spooky and weird. I look forward to hearing from you!
